An internationally operating e-commerce provider planned to introduce Apple Pay as an additional payment method in order to increase mobile checkout conversion rates and improve the user experience.
The challenge lay in coordinating multiple internal teams (e-commerce, payments, IT, security) as well as external payment service providers and banks. In addition, different system landscapes and existing checkout processes had to be taken into account.
FHC+P took over project leadership and coordinated all technical and organizational interfaces between the involved parties.
First, the technical requirements of the existing payment architecture were analyzed and an implementation roadmap for Apple Pay integration was developed. In parallel, coordination took place with PSPs, compliance stakeholders, and development teams.
We managed the introduction of Apple Pay as end-to-end project leadership and accompanied the entire rollout process.
The result is a seamless integration of Apple Pay into the existing checkout process, a significantly improved mobile conversion rate, and a stable, scalable payment process for future expansions.
